During the Malaysian Masters badminton tournament at Axiata Arena, matches were disrupted due to water droplets on the court caused by condensation, not roof leaks. This issue arose from the air-conditioning pipes reacting with the hot weather outside. Although the problem was noticed early in the tournament, it intensified in later rounds. Malaysia Stadium Corporation's Iliyas Jamil explained that this was due to the current roofing system, which traps air, and a temporary solution involved wiping the pipes regularly. Despite the disruptions, players like Toh Ee Wei acknowledged that it did not give them an excuse for their performance, highlighting the competitive nature of the event. The Axiata Arena had previously dealt with roof issues during the Malaysian Open.
