A young Frenchman named Alan, who was on a work placement in Ireland, disarmed a man who had stabbed three children and a teacher near a school in Dublin. The incident occurred the day before and the French teenager managed to remove the knife from the attacker's hands. Alan, who sustained some cuts to his hand and face, is a high school student from Bazeilles in the Ardennes region of France. French President Emmanuel Macron personally called Alan to congratulate and thank him for his bravery. The motive of the attack is still unknown.
